Return of the Brown Buffalo

The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo is a fresh and genre-defying film about the life of radical Chicano lawyer, author and countercultural icon, Oscar Zeta Acosta- the basis for the character Dr. Gonzo in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, written by his friend and legendary journalist-provocateur, Hunter S Thompson.

PBS will premier, The Rise and Fall of the Brown Buffalo on Friday, March 23rd at 9:00pm, Eastern Standard time. The film will also be available for streaming anytime after March 23rd at the PBS website.

By popular demand, we bring you recording of the play, “Dreamers: Aquí y Allá” at the CSULB Studio. A special thank you to the Dreamers that shared their stories, and supporters that were able to attend the play in person. Please share and enjoy this video with your family and friends.

But we need your help more than ever before in order to continue to fight for Dreamers and Advance Parole!

As you may know, the Supreme Court has recently denied President Trump’s request for rescinding DACA. However, the appeals court will rule in the near future, but for now DACA is still in place as before September 5, 2017, but without Advance Parole, except for “deserving cases” as in the case of CMSC Dreamer Mayra Garibo.

We have not lost hope that a positive resolution will come out of the Congress next month, and we are hopeful that Advance Parole will be re-activated as well.

Thus, we are asking for your support as a beneficiary or supporter of our program, and because without it, we will not be able to continue to advocate for Dreamers’ legalization, a path to citizenship and for our next projects: the California-Mexico Dreamers book publication and full-length documentary.
