Profe’s 70th Birthday Fundraiser
Left to Right: Citlalli Ortiz, Armando Godinez, Mayra Garibo, Armando Vazquez-Ramos, Miriam Delgado, Lidieth Arevalo
In honor of Prof. Armando Vazquez-Ramos’ upcoming 70th birthday this August 10, 2019, the CMSC Team would like to ask for your support to our Advance Parole Applications Fund Drive that aims to restore DACA’s Advance Parole.
“Profe”, as many of us like to warmly call him, is a leader and an activist who has been promoting educational opportunities for the Chicano/Mexican and Latino population for more than 50 years;
For this very reason, we would like to take this opportunity to honor Profe’s legacy and commitment to undocumented immigrants and Dreamers. In doing so, we would like to ask for you to donate and support our campaign fund drive!
Any amount will help us move closer to our goal and continue our advocacy to fully restore Advance Parole for DACA recipients.
La lucha sigue!
– The CMSC Team,
Lidieth Arevalo, Citlalli Ortiz, Mayra Garibo, Miriam Delgado, Luz Vazquez and Armando Godinez.

Advance Parole Voices
BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Given the great success of our recent advocacy efforts to restore DACA’s Advance Parole in Washington, D.C., The CMSC has launched an Advance Parole Application Fund Drive for DACA recipients that have urgent reasons to apply for humanitarian Advance Parole, to tend to loved ones suffering from serious illness but cannot afford to pay the $575 application fee.
Consequently, we are raising funds to allow Dreamers to apply for Advance Parole, although the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is currently denying this benefit, to pressure them and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to follow the court orders that reinstated DACA and to increase the awareness of Congress about the humanitarian cases and real-life stories behind Dreamer’s need for Advance Parole.
