Join the California-Mexico Studies Center as we attend this wonderful event in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. In this multimedia lecture, Dr. Gloria Arjona highlights Mexico’s African heritage through codices, a set of 18th-century paintings known as Pinturas de Castas, Afo-mestizo music interpretation, and guest musicians. Please join us to learn more about this thought-provoking topic and explore the galleries of MOLAA.
This event will take place on Wednesday, October 12th. Galleries open at 5:00pm, and the Lecture takes place from 5:30pm-7:00pm. MOLAA is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue in Long Beach.
