Amazing Response to the Dreamers Advance Parole Application Program
“La peor lucha es la que no se hace”~ Prof. Armando Vazquez-Ramos
We have received a tremendous response to our DACA’s Advance Parole application campaign, with more than 45 applications received since the start of the campaign a week ago. In fact, the CMSC has already provided staff assistance to prepare and file 5 Advance Parole applications for humanitarian and educational reasons. The following are Dreamers that have applied for Advance Parole through our program and are in urgent need for expedited approval:
- A Mexican graduate student from Utah that has been accepted to a master’s program in Spain;
- A Korean Dreamer from New Jersey that has been admitted to a prestigious MBA program in Spain;
- A Polish Dreamer from New York that has been accepted to a graduate program in Spain;
- A Dreamer from Central California who lost her father in Mexico on July 2, 2019, and must immediately travel to be with her family and settle her father’s estate;
- A Dreamer from Northern California who lost her uncle and must also travel to be with her cousin and their family.

BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Given the great success of our recent advocacy efforts to restore DACA’s Advance Parole in Washington, D.C., The CMSC has launched an Advance Parole Application Fund Drive for DACA recipients that have urgent reasons to apply for humanitarian Advance Parole, to tend to loved ones suffering from serious illness but cannot afford to pay the $575 application fee.
Consequently, we are raising funds to allow Dreamers to apply for Advance Parole, although the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) is currently denying this benefit, to pressure them and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to follow the court orders that reinstated DACA and to increase the awareness of Congress about the humanitarian cases and real-life stories behind Dreamer’s need for Advance Parole.
